Make Our PINK Voices Heard!

Make Our PINK Voices Heard!

This week we'll enter into September and face the sad truth that Summer is winding down and Fall is just around the corner. As the leaves begin to change, we in the PINK community also start to shift our focus to the pinnacle event for breast cancer awareness and support - October. Every October breast cancer support groups, charities and advocacy organizations flock to the streets, websites, blogs, social media channels, TV, and add their message to the caucus of PINK voices heard throughout the month. Thanks to your support, The Pink Cart is now one of those voices and we want  our voice to be meaningful.

We have our first Pink City launching in November and we are working hard to spread Pink Carts to even more cities! With more Pink Carts at the curbs, we hope more people will feel compelled to practice good breast helath and be champions of PINK in the fight against breast cancer. We've created an Advocacy Toolkit for bringing Pink Carts to your street and now we're under way building our Pink Army to give more Pink Soldiers the tools they need to help us push Pink Carts across North America. Whether you advocate for Pink Carts, for awareness of breast cancer risk factors, for regular breast health screenings, or for all things PINK, we want you on our team!

We get the word out to our team in a few different ways. Whether through blogs, Facebook, Twitter, or Pink Army e-blasts, we do a little of this, a little of that - trying to give our friends updates on our program, on breast cancer research initiatives,  fundraising events, breaking news in treatment and detection, and of course some fun stuff to encourage everyone to sport PINK and to advocatefor Pink Carts in their community. As we get ready for October, we want to make sure we are giving you the information you need, creating a compassionate PINK community, and sending a strong message about the importance of raising awareness to increase knowledge of early detection and save more lives.

You can help us do this. Join the Army. Advocate for Pink. And tell  us, because we want to know, how can we make The Pink Cart more meaningful for you and for the PINK community? Leave us a comment, send us an email, or post on our Facebook page and tell us your thoughts. What do you like, what could we be doing different? We are really looking forward to hearing your ideas - and using them to making October meaningful for the many men, women and their families who are bravely battling Breast Cancer.
